Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the day-to-day activities of the credit department.
- Establish, review, or revise credit limits by analyzing financial statements and credit reports.
- Monitor monthly balances and past due statuses of individual accounts.
- Assist with posting cash and manage hold screens as needed.
- Review monthly reports and analyze financial statements to evaluate credit risks.
- Advise management on large credit exposures and potential bad debts.
- Analyze bad debt exposure and recommend changes to reserve requirements.
- Place accounts for collection and direct actions of collection agencies or attorneys.
- Maintain credit files for permanent reference.
- Adhere to safety processes and protocols.
Requirements
- Knowledge of business concepts and principles related to credit management (business administration, economics, finance, or accounting).
- Ability to calculate financial figures accurately (ratios, rates, percentages).
